Dr. Flavia Sukekava DDS, M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Periodontics, received her dental degree from State University of Maringá in 2003 and all her post grad pathway was performed at USP, Faculty of Dentistry, Discipline of Periodontics-São Paulo, including her post doctorate, working with histology of periodontal as well peri-implant tissues and later on clinical studies about reduced diameter implants installed in posterior mandible. She has dedicated her entire professional life to dental research in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry linking science and private practice. Also, she is one of the leader team of National Osteology Group Brazil and recently she became involved in some clinical projects about zirconia implants, blood concentrates in guided bone regeneration, different types of treatment of peri-implantitis, periodontal disease and soft tissue surgery around teeth and implants. She still working as a teacher only for post graduate students or professionals. Lately she has developed a You Tube channel covering some topics about scientific writing and perio/implant important issues. She has lived and attended patients in Curitiba, an amazing city in the South of Brazil, since 2017.
